About the Performer

Grace is currently a senior at MIT double majoring in computer science and music. She started playing the violin at the age of four and has studied at the New England Conservatory with Donald Weilerstein since she was 10 years old. She competed in the Louis Spohr International Violin Competition, earned a National Young Arts award, and was invited to perform at the former New Hampshire governor’s inauguration. She has played in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, and has also traveled to Vietnam and Hong Kong on a concert tour with the Phillips Exeter Academy Chamber Orchestra and Concert Choir.

She is currently a member of MIT’s Chamber Music Society, and continues to take lessons at the New England Conservatory with Angelo Xiang Yu, a first prize winner of the Menuhin Competition.
