MIT Concert Choir sings Carmina Burana

William Cutter, director of the choral program, will conduct the MIT Concert Choir and a freelance orchestra with Sarah Yanovitch, soprano; Patrick Waters, tenor; Dana Whiteside, baritone, in a performance of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, one of the most popular works in the classical repertoire. Composed in 1935 - 1936, based on 24 poems from the medieval collection Carmina Burana, the piece's basic themes include love, lust, the pleasures of drinking and springtime.
