On November 5 at 8 pm in Killian Hall the Quartet ES will perform 2 premieres of Elena Ruehr, including the live premiere of Spider Swing, animated by members of the MIT Animation Group and winner of the 2022 Outstanding Urop Student Award from SHASS. In addition they will premiere Ruehr’s 9th String Quartet “Keweenaw”. Rounding out the program will be Ravel’s astonishing Quartet in F and Haydn’s Op 20 number 4.
