Apollo and Dionysus

Taiwanese composer, pianist and music educator Yi Yiing Chen’s music has been described as “very different, showing the composer’s versatility and breadth of range and influence” and “an exciting amalgam of eastern and western styles.” She also currently teaches and studies at the New England Conservatory. The talk will consist of Yi Yiing presenting her works and sharing her compositional approaches and process, followed by a Q&A session.
