Afterglow: Twilight Music for String Quartet and Wind Ensemble composed by Peter Child, commissioned by three university wind ensembles.
2009
“Stanisław Skrowaczewski International Consortium”: Music for Winds composed by Skrowaczewski, commissioned by nine professional orchestras and university wind ensembles in the US, Germany, Austria and Japan. This project, which I launched in 2004, required constant communication with dozens of professional orchestras, conductors, and universities.
2006
“Frank L. Battisti’s 75th Birthday Commission Consortium”: Triptych composed by Peter Child, commissioned by seven university wind ensembles.
2006
“In Appreciation of Malcolm W. Rowell, Jr., Commission Consortium”: When I have Gone Away composed by Dana Wilson, commissioned by 24 ensembles (eighteen high schools, five universities, and one community wind ensemble).
2001
“The Frank L. Battisti 70th Birthday Commission Consortium”: Four works commissioned by 20 university wind ensembles: (1) Vientos e Tangos by Michael Gandolfi; (2) Driven! by Kenneth Amis; (3) Serenade for 11 Instruments by Michael Weinstein; and (4) Gleams from the Bosom of Darkness by Lior Navok.
