For our second Band Night, FaMLE presents an exciting and diverse lineup of electronic bands. Highlights include live drum’n’bass, ambient electronica, vintage 80’s synthesizers—and maybe even a live MC sitting in with the group! Join us as we open Club Killian again, bring your dancing shoes, and get ready to have your mind, ears, and body shaken.
About FaMLE:
The MIT Laptop Ensemble (FaMLE) is a living laboratory examining how new digital technologies are shaping musical performance. Using a variety of electronic and digital instruments, we look into how our digital lives suggest new opportunities for musical collaboration and exploration. Musically omnivorous, MLE can sound like electronic Debussy, Romulan synthpop, a luminous treefrog city, or anything in-between. Open to all members of the MIT community, FaMLE offers a practice-based vision of the future of digital musicianship.
