About the Artists

Letitia Hom received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Wellesley College and her Master of Music Degree in String Performance from Boston University.  Her most influential teacher was the legendary violinist and pedagogue, Roman Totenberg, with whom she studied since she was a child in his Young Performers Program at the Longy School of Music.
 
Ms. Hom has studied chamber music with Endel Kalam, Wolfgang Schocken, Norman Fischer, David Deveau, Leslie Parnas and Raphael Hillyer, musicianship with Lawrence Scripp, and music history with Mark Harvey and John Daverio.  On the violin and the viola, she has appeared as soloist with orchestra and performed at international chamber music festivals.  While in college, she was selected to present recitals for MIT through the Advanced Music Performance (now Emerson) Program.  In addition to performing, Ms. Hom teaches at the Belmont Hill School and at her studio in Lexington, Massachusetts.
 
Yukiko Ueno Egozy is a Boston-based pianist and teacher.  She is a Visiting Artist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she teaches Piano Performance in the Emerson Scholarship/Fellowship Program.  She has served as the pianist of the Handel & Haydn Society Vocal Quartet, which presents interactive lecture-concerts to urban school districts.  As an accompanist, Ms. Ueno Egozy performs regularly for instrumental and vocal recitals at schools and universities in the metropolitan Boston area.
 
Ms. Ueno Egozy graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s Degree and from MIT with a Master’s Degree in Biology.  While at MIT, she performed recitals as part of the Advanced Music Performance (now Emerson) Program.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Collaborative Piano from New England Conservatory.  Ms. Ueno Egozy’s teachers include Irma Vallecillo, Kayo Iwama and David Deveau.
 
As a duo, Ms. Hom and Ms. Ueno Egozy have been coached extensively on the repertoire for violin and piano by Roman Totenberg.
