MIT Symphony Orchestra
Adam K. Boyles, Director

The MIT Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Adam Boyles, will present a program entitled PERSISTENCE featuring exclusively works by female composers. Poetry, speeches, and other spoken word material will also be interspersed throughout the program.

The concert itself is unprecedented in its vision and speaks directly to this moment in our social landscape. Celebrating the conclusion of International Women's Week, and during Women's History Month, we hope to give these women artists a platform they so richly deserve.

Elena Ruehr: Sky Above Clouds
Mary Montgomery Koppel: Kaleidoscope
Dana Suesse: Concerto in Three Rhythms
Elaine Kwon, piano
Margaret Buechner: Pas de Deux from the ballet, Elizabeth
Jennifer Higdon: Three Selections from Dance Card
Joan Tower: Made in America
