Emily Richmond Pollock has been awarded the 2019 Kurt Weill Prize for her article, "Opera by the Book: Defining Music Theater in the Third Reich," published in The Journal of Musicology in 2018. The prize is given every two years and recognizes an outstanding article on opera since 1900 or musical theater. More information.
