Join us for an afternoon of timeless masterpieces and captivating compositions, presented by Mi-Eun Kim, MIT Piano Faculty. The program features the works of Haydn, Bach, and Liszt, along with a selection of evocative 20th-century pieces. The program includes Haydn’s Sonata in E-flat Major, Bach’s English Suite No. 3, and Liszt’s Rhapsodie espagnole. In a nod to the MIT climate project, Ravel’s Oiseaux triste, Messiaen’s Prélude No. 2, and Takemitsu’s Rain Tree Sketch II explore humanity's role as both listeners and creators, offering a profound reflection on our connection to nature through music.
