Pianist Mi-Eun Kim offers a fresh look at Gershwin’s Concerto in F, drawing on her recent performances with the Boston Pops and MITSO. In this short talk-performance, she introduces the new Ira & George Gershwin Critical Edition, which restores the composer's original colors, rhythms, and improvisatory spirit—down to the famous “piano plays here” passage he never fully wrote out. A concise, engaging glimpse into a masterpiece that reminds us music is never fixed—an ongoing conversation with the past, where one never steps into the same river twice.
