This event will introduce listeners to leading pioneers and musicians of Salsa, the groundbreaking musical genre with roots in Puerto Rico and Cuba which was born out the Latin- American experience in the United States. Listeners will learn the societal influences and historical contexts which affected the albums, and the discussion will focus on each artist's unique musical styles, creative practices, and lasting contributions to the genre.
