To the Light, To the Flame by MIT Wind Ensemble, Frederick Harris, Jr., Music Director, Kenneth Amis, Assistant Conductor. With guest composers Kathryn Salfelder & Jamshied Sharifi.  The concert features  the world premiere of Sharifi’s To The Light, To the Flame; Salfelder, Shadows Ablaze; Grainger, Colonial Song & Handel in the Strand; Vaughn Williams, Flourish for Wind Band; Mintzer, Rhythm of the Americas (final movement); and Kurt Bacher, Confluence.
