About the Performer

Amalia is a senior at MIT studying Materials Science and Engineering and Music. She began singing in community choirs and the Hawai’i Opera Theater’s children choir in sixth grade and has since continued her involvement in choral and solo performances, participating in school choirs and attending cultural conventions across Southeast Asia. As a freshman, Amalia joined the MIT Emerson Program, taking private lessons with Kerry Deal. In addition to studying classical voice, Amalia has also participated in on-campus musicals, the MIT Chamber Chorus, and the MIT Vocal Jazz Ensemble.
