Assistant Professor Natalie Lin Douglas's Houston based conductorless string orchestra, Kinetic Ensemble releases its debut album today! A deeply immersive listening experience, "Kinetic" by Kinetic Ensemble explores the deep-rooted connections between musical sound and the natural world, and showcases the world premiere recordings of works by four exciting young composers. Produced and engineered by GRAMMY® award winner Brad Sayles, this debut album sets Kinetic’s “thoughtful, incisive programming” and “brilliantly executed” (Arts & Culture Texas) performance on display. This video spotlights one of the four pieces on the album: "The Wilderness Anthology" for string orchestra and soundscapes by composer Patrick Harlin.
