Samantha Jones is an ethnomusicologist and dancer. She received her PhD from Harvard University in ethnomusicology (2022) with a dissertation focused on musicality in Irish dance. Her research explores music/dance relationships through embodiment, memory, media, and the senses. In addition to her work on Irish traditional music and dance, she also researches film music, music and aging, and festivals. Samantha is active as a performer and teacher of Irish dance in the Boston area.
