Senior Lecturer Martin Marks joins the Harvard Film Archive for five presentations of Silent Hitcock beginning this weekend. No scores survive for any of these films, so Marty will play his own compilation-scores laced with frequent improvisation, by which he will attempt to follow the conventions of the period in a way that suits the films in terms of their atmospheres and beautifully visual narratives.
