SPRING 2021 MIT GENERAL INFORMATION

-As the entire MIT community adjusts to the new reality of Covid-19, MIT NOW offers the latest updates, guidance, and resources to help support you during this challenging time.

 

INSTRUMENT RENTALS

-Students who require an instrument rental based on ensemble needs should e-mail the Events Office.  The Events Office will reply with a decision based on the availabilty of the inventory at the time of the request. 

-Only students with Covid Pass access to campus will be allowed to reserve instruments. 

-Students without Covid Pass access to campus should e-mail the Events Office to discuss what options are available to them should they need to rent an intrument for their ensemble.

 

LOCKERS

In order to limit the traffic in and out of buildings and MTA spaces, instrument lockers will not be available for Spring 2021.  MTA will revisit this policy as the institute cha should the Institute ease restrictions on building access and capacity. 

 

BUILDING 4 PRACTICE ROOMS

Due to COVID restrictions, the MTA practice rooms are reserved for students with Covid Pass access fpr the Spring 2021 semester enrolled in MTA classes and ensembles. To view the reservation procedures click here.

For students and the great MIT community interested in exploring practice room space, please check with CAC as they may have pianos available for use in the Stratton Student Center.

 

W97 ACCESS

Only students invited to campus and enrolled in classes with lab/maker-space requirements will be allowed to have access to W97. 

Access hours will be set up by instructors with Miguel and you will be able to sign up through Acuity to reserve time when needed. 

If approved, you will be given access to the front door by COVID PASS and by MTA for the individual room.

More information will be given by instructors where appropriate including cleaning protocols. 

 

W97 EVENTS

There will be no live in person events for Spring 2021.

 

W97 PROP/COSTUME RENTALS

There will be no borrowing of props or costumes for Spring 2021.
